Social bookmarking is a way to increase visibility, tag the hell out of your website and build link popularity for your websites and your friends websites (Be generous!). Social bookmarking is a great example of taking an old idea, bookmarking, and making it the next hot interactive thing in the web 2.0 world. When you Socially bookmark through a site like del.icio.us you can expect to see results on Google within about 7-10 days. If your bookmark/website is of great interest to others expect an increase in targeted traffic and a lot of interactivity and re-bookmarking, by others, of your site.

I often get people asking me how they can improve their reputation on Google and Yahoo. It is also often that people come back a month or two later to ask me the same question and the answer is always the same. Consistency is the number one key to personal SEO.
